Dirt Dogs Excavating recently finished excavating a new 75 by 100 ft horse arena in beautiful Larkspur, Colorado. In addition we did a bunch of other work including: cutting in driveways, excavating a spot of horse trailer parking, we added road base around the barn, improved drainage and some other landscaping upgrades. For this project we brought in 5 truckloads of sand (125 tons worth) for the footing of the horse arena. That gave us 2.5″ of sand with we laser leveled to be perfectly level. All the grading around the arena was tapered to help rain and snowmelt runoff away from the horse arena.
The fence in the photo is incomplete and will be finished in the near future by a fence installer.
