Dirt Dogs Excavating is demolishing the old foundation of a building at the Ardent Mills grain silos in Commerce City, Colorado. After demolition is complete we will excavate down 11 ft for the new foundation to be installed for a brand new building.
This project has 2 parts…
1) Foundation Demolition. We used 3 heavy duty machines for this job. A hammering machine – to break up the concrete. A tractor with a claw to extract the debris and a large bucket scoop to pick up and dump it into dump trucks. We removed about 25 dump trucks worth of material from the old foundation. The demolition project took about 1 week of hard work.
2) Foundation Excavation. The second have of this project involves digging out the foundation for the new foundation. This will go about 11 feet down into the earth. During the process we’ll haul off about 80 dump trucks worth of dirt to a local landfill.
